Wonderful discovery! Great venue, atmosphere, service and food! Loved the live music out back on the stage and the deck out front, perfect for outdoor dining. Vicky, the owner was most gracious in sharing a tour of 1841, obviously very proud and rightfully so, of her establishment...

1841 Cafe' in Lenoir, NC is a great place to eat/visit with friends and family. Perfect place to celebrate special events - food is delicious! Owner, chef & other employees are pleasant and hospitable. Will definitely go again! Very much worth a trip!

Only problem was having to wait to order an wait to receive order
Only go if you want a beer or drink timely...We have been here for 2 hours with no food, still at the bar where we finally ordered our food. My husband told them we were at the bar when we put our names down for a table and they had just marked it off when he checked an hour later...I am now pissed!! They did not give so much as a cracker or chip knowing we were waiting, no discount offered, no remorse for substandard service....they did not offer a discount, nothing but to blame the kitchen. We've ate here before an loved it. We went tonight. The service was terrible. The wait was terrible. An the food was. The even right when it came out.

The food was delicious, the decorations were beautiful, and the service was above and beyond our expectations. We're so thankful for all you did for us.
