Husband and I made reservations, arrived 30 minutes early to an empty restaurant. As we walk up to the 'host' he looks at us up and down, ok's my attire, but asks my husband to remove his cap �. We had to wait at the bar until our reservation time �. We were then seated, and waits on very politely. Then, as we're getting our main course, a couple walks in, guy in t shirt and jeans and tennis, wife in flip flops and (tourist) attire. Superb filet mignon. Fine merlot. Service was splendid.
Beautiful venue with a great view of the Alamo. Cocktails were good. Steaks were a bit over cooked from what we ordered, but good quality meat. Side dishes were good as well. The lobster bisque was nice, but darker than any I have had. Will be back to explore other menu offerings. Very good and knowledgeable service. Nice wine list. The Trinchero Forte Meritage is a great value at $135 and delicious.
As a surprise for Mother's Day my hubby made reservations at 1718 Steak House. We had beautiful view of the Alamo. Service was excellent, very attentive staff, drinks were on point, steaks were very tasty. Made our first visit here very memorable experience, Definitely will return! 5 stars
What a great way to end a long weekend in San Antonio. The wait staff was very attentive, perfectly cooked steak, and the mixed drinks were delicious and strong!
