I completely agree with all the negative reviews. The way management treats tenants is simply unacceptable. They show no respect, ignore residents’ concerns, and make you fight for things that should be handled normally. For the amount of money people pay to live here, this kind of treatment is a disgrace. I would not recommend 170 Lakeside Apartments to anyone.

Do NOT rent here or from anywhere that Beechwood manages. I’ve rented in many places in Philly and I would expect a slumlord there, but have not had that experience until I moved into 170 Lakeside in Ardmore of all places. We stayed there for 1 year and that was bad enough. The rent is expensive with no good amenities, the building is decrepit, poorly maintained, and outdated. They had a roach infestation as well. Terrible building and terrible management. The building is dirty, poorly maintained, and the overall living conditions are unacceptable. The service is extremely poor, and the staff is careless and irresponsible. They repeatedly ignore residents’ concerns and fail to respond when help is urgently needed. I have had multiple bad experiences here. I absolutely do not recommend living in this building.

I would not recommend renting here. My experience with both the building very old and not worth all that money, Also the management was very disappointing. Maintenance requests were not handled properly, communication was poor, and I felt my concerns were ignored throughout my tenancy. After moving out, dealing with the security deposit became another frustrating experience. Overall, I would not rent here again or recommend this property to others. Toured this building a few weeks ago and the woman who gave the tour was lovely and very informative. However, the pictures on the listing provide a false sense of what things look like as they are generated by AI. the building on the inside looks like it hasn’t been updated in DECADES. there are stains all over the carpet in the hallways and common room, the elevator sounds ill-maintained, and there is an odd odor all over.
