I wish I could attest to the quality of the doctor here, but I wasn't even able to make it past the very rude woman who does scheduling. I was referred and over 20 days later I had to reach out to my family doctor to see what was happening. They advised me to reach directly out to the surgeon as the referral had already been sent, but they were not contacting me for whatever reason. Dr. Zwemer saved my life. I went through so many hernia surgeries every time we thought I was good infection would set in because of the the mesh. It was looking scary until one day Zwemer looked at me and said would you want pig skin or rat skin to fix me. I picked pig skin and it's roughly been 5years since this was done and I feel great. A different surgeon had to go in 5 days later to fix my Dad's colon because it was perforated during PEG placement performed by Dr. Douglas Zwemer. Preoperative Diagnosis: Malpositioned gastrostomy tube Postoperative Diagnosis: 1. Malpositioned gastrostomy tube 2. Colotomy x 2 3. Gastrotomy x 1
