Awesomeness – Awesome!!!!!!!! Went there for my friends birthday Saturday night.... and boy it was PERFECT ITALIAN!!!! The atmosphere is very Tuscan and the food really made us feel as if we were in Italy. As per the recommendation of our waiter, we had the oysters and bianca salad for apps. My friend had the Italian lasagna and I had the stuffed pork chop which was to die for. The tiramisu was perfect and fluffy... to top it off the owners sent over complimentary limoncello for us to celebrate. Will def return and highly re... read more

Great place, great restaurant – I found out about this place from citysearch, great specials, I had for appetizer Oysters alla Zucca, then Risoto frutti di mare Bianco. The service was outstanding and for desert I had a home made Tiramisu and my girl cheesecake nicely decorated.

So rude on the phone, I decided against going here – I called to make a reservation for Friday night. The man on the phone asked "Saturday?" to which I replied, "No, Friday please." He then said "Saturday?" and this went on for about a minute. Then when I was giving him my name, which I spelled 5 times for him, he repeated back something completely different to me. When I said that wasn't correct, he started laughing. I got the feeling that this wasn't a language or communication problem, and that he was making a joke of my ... read more

STAY AWAY Last night at Zucca, I had the most unpleasant experience I've ever had in a restaurant. The food was passable (though not at all special), but the proprietor was so sneaky, nasty and insulting that I will never go back there and would absolutely never recommend it to anyone. When I said to my boyfriend that he would not like the "prosciutto cotto" that was served with the burrata appetizer, the proprietor (who was taking our order in the nearly empty restaurant) offered to substitute "prosciutto di parma" -- never... read more

Bad restaurant. – The waiters had a little attitude and kept walking around for no reason and staring at us. When I raised my hand so I can ask for wine, the waiter walked down like he was doing me a big favor. The wine I ordered was really bad, like it was standing open for a few days. The pasta I ordered was very bad. Too salty and peppery. Also the broccoli looked like it was microwaved a few times. Not good at all. Wasted $65 for 2 person dinner.

Citysearch Editorial Review – Everything about this West Village restaurant channels Italy. The menu features traditional Italian fare (bruschetta, veal Milanese and pasta bolognese) as well as more upscale standards like beef carpaccio, sea bass and squash gnocchi. The exposed brick walls, wooden tables and low-hanging lamps create a warm, rustic atmosphere, which a glass of wine from the Italian-focused list will only amplify.

Classy find if your craving authentic Italian! – Loved this place! Zucca Trattoria was a great find! Wonderful Rustic West Village Italian spot. The food is amazing, the service is on point, and the ambiance is classy and tasteful - a very authentic Italian feel. Fantastic food, especially the gnocchi, bruschetta, salads and the Bolognese pasta dish was out of this world. Delicious deserts too! I will be returning for sure - great for a date or just a night out with friends.
