Excellent food, service and ambience - really great – Was looking for a place to eat late tonight, almost midnight - stumbled upon a real find. I had caesar salad and linguine with clam sauce, nothing special you'd think but both were really well done - superfresh ingredients, not overseasoned, linguine had lovelyl whole garlic cloves with clams and fresh parsley - i left feeling well fed but not stuffed the way you can get from inferior ingredients. Amazing!!! – My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Zucca. The bianca salad and baked clams were great! My favorite of all was the grilled pulpo salad. The pulpo was so tender, it melted in your mouth. Then, we split the gnocchi and had branzino. Phenomenal and fresh!! We also recommend the homemade tiramisu. Not only was our meal amazing, but the owner, Gino, treated us like family. We will definitely be back to this excellent restaurant in the West Village!
Couldn't be better! – This place was absolutely spectacular! We stumbled upon it by accident and couldn't have been happier. The staff were extremely friendly, the food was straight out of Italy (spend 3 months there and have been looking for true Italian food ever since), and the ambiance was great. I would recommend Zucca to everyone!!! Gino (one of the 2 owners) was so kind too... he gave us a delicious lemoncello... you've got to try it!!
A very pleasant discovery – My boyfriend and I were exploring and looking for a place to eat. While we were looking at the menu, a friendly guy came out and convinced us to go in and try the place. I'm very glad he did. A beautiful little restaurant, great service, really good food. We split mussels for an appetizer. I had linguine with clams. We also had a bottle of wine. Amazing restaurant – I'm from Las vegas. So my wife and I have visited NYC. We had a dinner at Zucca Trattoria. It was amazing excellent food specially the risotto. I would definitely recommend it
Tutte Bene Cose! – When I find a good restaurant, I tend to frequent it often. Zucca is such a place. Authentic Italian cuisine... Yes. They (father and son) know what they're doing - Italian style.!. Sincerely.
Zucca Trattoria NYC – Very slow, very small portions, seafiid not fresh. Mushy Shrimp (ick) and mussels smelled so bad I couldn't eat them. Wait staff kept wiping the table with the same wet dirty rag. The Gargage was my first choice, should have gone there!
Terrible tourist trap – Rude staff, lackluster food, and high prices make this a place to avoid at all costs...particularly in a city with great food. I would be skeptical about any positive review as being someone associated with the restaurant. Places like this should make you angry. Don't say you weren't warned. Take a bite of the oreccheiette barese, then you'll see.
Great Food and service – I went with 3 friends, absolutely loved it! Service, food, atmosphere, all top notch and a one of a kind restaurant in the city! I felt like I was in Tuscany! Desserts are out of this world! Going back and bringing more friends! Gino, Frank and staff have outdone themselves, cannot compare to any restaurant I have been to!
