TOPS in Louisville! – I ate here for the first time last night and I was blown away. I have lived in different cities in the Midwest, and I have NEVER found a restaurant that was able to deliver BOTH seafood and steak to perfection- until now. Poor Service – I was totally disappointed with our visit. 1. we arrived early, and went to the Bar, no problem; however, when the hostess came for us for our table 2. The table was not even ready for us, all she had to do was look at it, that took five minutes for it to be cleared and re-set, while we stood there, no offer for a drink or anything, we just stood there!. 3. As close to perfect – The ahi tuna makes your eyes water. We've eaten here three times this year and have had outstanding service, perfectly prepared food and have never smelled smoke. I don't eat red meat, can't comment, but the seafood is GREAT. Like the wine 'flights" too.
Outstanding – My wife and I started with 6 of the several varieties of oysters, and the calamari. The oysters were bright, and delicious. The calimari pieces twice the size we've seen and tender. I had a filet, and my wife a piece of the tuna flown in fresh from Hawaii. The filet was excellent (possibly not quite as good as Ruth Chris), but the tuna was mag-freaking-nificent. Outstanding! – Great steaks, exquisite oysters, the freshest seafood, fabulous winelist, top-notch service. Far and away, our favorite restaurant. Great for any special occasion, or for no special reason at all.
Best steak Best value – I have ate at all the steak houses in Louisville and this is by far the best. When you compare price it is no contest Z's price & quality wins out. They bill the filet as the best in town and they are right! Lamb is excellent as well. I would also say that this is the best seafood restaurant in Louisville. If you like raw Oysters, the freshness and variety are great. Wine list is tops as well.
The Best Filet in town. Hands down! There is no other place in Louisville like it. They have the best steak and seafood i have ever had and i have been to many cities and countless restaurants. It is my favorite restaurant in Kentucky.
