I had an extremely disappointing experience with Ziprent this morning. I rearranged my schedule and drove from Bellevue to downtown Seattle for a property viewing I had booked in advance. I arrived on time, only to discover there were no instructions provided for how to enter the building. I emailed, texted, and called, only to be told that there were no access details and that the owner was currently in Australia. This is hands down the most unprofessional, manipulative, and borderline fraudulent landlord and property management experience I’ve ever seen. Ziprent lured me in by falsely advertising that landscaping was included in the rental. After I signed the lease and moved in, they issued a revised lease addendum that quietly pushed “watering” responsibilities onto me, while keeping all scheduling and control in the hands of the owner and their landscapers.
