Food was good overall. Grits a little thin and runny and the rice was a little dry. Service was good like before. Will probably stick to lunch here.
We went to Zippers for my birthday (family of four). The waitress was rude to our whole family and got frustrated with us when we asked for a few more minutes to decide. After ordering and waiting for 45 minutes the waitress came back with part of our food. My omelet was a piece of egg on top of meat. The home fries were burnt. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy and the waitress brought her a dinner roll and told her that they were out of biscuits and all they had was rolls. The food is decent with good pricing. The thing I don't like is the tips all go in a jar to be split by all at the end of a shift. I tip on service and you may or may not get good service with that setup. It's happened to me on several occasions. Last week from the time I entered until I left was 1 hour and 10 minutes. NO SERVICE AT ALL AND NO TIP.
The environment of local culture may shock some but the are real folks and great food which spell FUN. All Day Breakfast and Pie!
I loved it. Will be a favorite every time we are in town!
