Definitely one of Charlotte's best Italian restaurants around town. Only a few words can describe Zio "Off the Chart". Very friendly staff.....

A group of 20 of us showed up on a Friday night and were accommodated right away. The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. Definitely a hidden gem!

My husband and I tried Zio for first time Sat night and loved it! The angel hair pasta with meat balls was delicious and my husband loved the chicken Parmesan. Service was great...very relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely go again!
Food was good as usual. However, service was atrocious. Stood at bar 20 minutes before the bartender gave us a wine list (while we were waiting for table). Ended up being seated before bartender took our drink order. Waiter was short and inattentive. First time back in several months. Hoping this was just a way off night!
Zio's is our favorite authentic Italian restaurant in the Charlotte Metrolina area - and that's a large area. Their Salmon Picatta over Angel Hair will make you swoon. Their prices are very reasonable, the food very fresh and always delicious, and the wait staff always courteous and helpful.
Awful! Not true Italian food. Pizza shouldn't be run through a belt oven! We used to go to the original restaurant in NY and they are far from what Mr. Consol would be embarrassed!

Hello Nick and thanks for your feedback. I'm terribly sorry you were disappointed with our pizza. This is Jim Consol responding and in the old days we were able to use the deck ovens. However, our volume has increased so much and our space is limited to the point we had to make the decision to go to the conveyor ovens. The crispiness is what is missing on these ovens but if you request your pie well done, we can achieve a very similar result. As usual it was in another impressive dinner. The food is always so incredible and it reminds me so much of my mother's homemade dinners. I love visiting eating at Zio. If I lived any closer I would be eating there every night. Nice job guys and gals. Love y'all.
