Terrible Service, Rude Bartenders = Do not recommend – I went to Zimm's this weekend with a fabulous group of girls (all minorities). All 3 bartenders (2 men and 1 woman) were rude in how they took our order, wouldn't even look at us and gave us so much attitude. What is ironic is that the second our order was taken, the bartender took another order from some white, females and they were as nice as could be. Me and my friends left almost no tip. Shady Bartenders, Rude Manager – I went to Zimm's in November with a friend and I thought it was a pretty cool place to go. At the end of the night when I closed my tab, I thought everything was great and Zimm's would be a place I would be a regular at. A few days later, my bank statement shows I was charged $20.00 more than I spent there and when I called the manager told me I had to receipt to prove it. A handsome and well-mannered Montrose bar for the discerning drinker. – In Short First-time visitors may think they've wandered into some tweedy British social club by mistake--leather wingbacks abound; the music is tasteful, the ambience sedate. a trendy martini bar – the decor touches on the southern genteel victorian days with a hint of being a cigar bar ... quite trendy for an area that is known for it's eclecticness. nonetheless, the vibe is romantic, posh, and laid-back. the martini list is quite limited, but it won't disappoint.*
Great Martini's – A small lounge with both outdoor and indoor seating arrangements. Crowd is friendly and lively, so is the DJ. No dancefloor but a great place for a chill evening with friends.
Zimm's hits a home run – I took my dinner club to Zimm's for the 1st and last legs of my Progressive dinner with Eight Friends Out, and they did an awesome job! They were ready for us; they were accomodating, had drink specials, and of course, the place is really cool with leather chairs, private seating and French doors that opened into the perfect night. Nice decor, great staff, okay clients ... – Zimm's is a nice place to go before going out. Pretty decor (very cold early in the night!). Great male bartendar with blondish curly hair and tall (really cute!) - very good drinks but a little pricey.
Just okay... – I hit Zimm's the other night, looking for a nice place to just sit and have a girl's night out. I wish I could say that I can't wait to go back, but the truth is that I could go the rest of my life without revisiting Zimm's and not care. The drinks were good, very strong, but highly overpriced for what they were. Maybe I'm a cheapskate, but $10.00 a cocktail is a bit too much.
