I scheduled an appt at least three weeks in advance with Dr Zhang. By way of introduction, she told me that the "hematology dept at Providence will be shut down this month," thereby no longer offering iron infusions UNLESS you were a cancer patient (she said the system is overwhelmed with them). Since I am not, I didn't see the point of the appt. I told her I wish someone would have informed me at the time I scheduled, and not have wasted her time, or mine. We found Dr. Zhang to be inflexible, rigid and sharp in her questions. We did not doubt her ability though.

Dr. Zhang, better known as Dr. Julia is a very attentive, knowledgeable and concerned physician with a specialty in hematology. It is wonderful to have such a knowledgeable specialist nearby rather than having to travel to Seattle. I am confident in the ongoing care that she is providing to me.
