Based on a recommendation of someone I went to Zen nails to get the gel nails. A “Emmy” was suggested to me for the service I wanted. First of all, you’re sitting right next to another customer, no privacy at all. The nail tech was rude from the very beginning! When I told her what I wanted she began putting on nail tips ( that’s not how you do the gel nails). She had the nerve to become irritated because I told her that was not what I wanted. Something changed with their pedicures. They barely spend anytime exfoliating and the whole process feels rushed. Went today spent $70 plus tip on a zen pedicure I have a bunch of peeling skin on my feet that lotion isn’t fixing. The price for quality doesn’t align.
My appointment for a gel manicure was really rushed and the shaping was non existent. I leave this review in hopes of improvement for the salon as my tech was a nice person but either careless or under-trained.
We stopped in for two pedicures. Not sure what they have changed but it was not a great experience. They filed my partners callus down to bare skin and hoped he did not notice. This was on the 21st of Jan. He spent the rest of the week limping because it was that bad and visited an out patient clinic.
