Buyers BEWARE!! It makes me angry to read these reviews and see that Luis is still scamming people. My husband bought me my ring over 12 years ago. When I initially went in I went took my mother with me to pick out a center stone. I knew that I wanted a princess cut. Started out great, but wont go back I had gone there several times for repairs and other work with great satisfaction. So when it came time to get a ring designed and made for my wife I naturally went to them. The initial ring was made how we wanted it and we were very happy. Then one of the stones chipped and repeatedly came lose. We had the stone replaced a coule of times and asked for a recommendation for a different type of stone with the same color that may not chip as easily. Terrible experience – My wife purchased a watch through Zavius Jewelers, in Rockford, IL earlier in June. She was told by them that this was a special order, since they did not carry that item. They ordered the watch, sold it to my wife and kept it in their safe at the store location until 7/15. When we checked the return policy, the receipt said 14 days from date of purchase. I wanted to return the watch for personal reasons however. Since the watch had been on site until three days prior, we hoped this would not be a probl... read more

Poor customer experience, would not do business with this store again For our ten year anniversary on 7/18, my wife purchased a watch through Zavius Jewelers in June and kept it in their safe at the store location until 7/15. WORST experience of my life – Warning! Do NOT buy from Zavius. I have been dealing with both Louis (owner) and Ray (sales agent) since July. It all started when my fiance and I began looking for an engagement ring. Working with Ray we designed what appeared to be a beautiful "idea" of what I wanted. My fiance went back at another time without me and they used this to their advantage. They SCREWED him over. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I went to Zavius because i was referred by a co-worker. I dealt with the owner Luvis Parez. He was very nice and polite during the purchasing process. I was then into another jewelry store to purchase my fiance's wedding band and was inquiring about my purchase from Zavius and was shown by a gemologist that what i had payed for a diamond quality that i had not received and was told by Luvis that the quality of the diamond has higher than it was.
