Zavino Italian Marketplace should be thoroughly embarrassed by what it served at the Italian Heritage Festival in downtown Towson on October 17, 2026. For an outrageous $7 per slice, Zavino was selling what it purported to be Sicilian pizza. What we received was a cold, bland, utterly flavorless excuse for pizza. One of the best Italian combo in town for sure. This deli is awesome. The pizza is good too and you can get a nice wine pairing with it too while at the shop. A must check out.
Wonderful Italian market and delicious made to order sandwiches and pizza pies. The focacia bread is pillow fluffy with a perfect balance of herbs and the fresh mozzarella is smooth with a decent sharpness for flavor. An excellent sandwich that is well worth the trip to Cross Keys Village. This fabulous market has top shelf imported products and great service from knowledgeable staff.
Got a pepperoni pizza pie and it was delicious.
Got the Hail Caesar. It’s so dry, the lettuce was thrown on top, no dressing mixed. Less than friendly staff. Wouldn’t go back unfortunately.
