I have been going to Dr. Zarzour for the past 13 years. I first met this doctor when he saw me as a same day emergency. I lost vision in my eye all of a sudden. I was so scared. I did not know what to do. Dr. Zarzour told me it was a transient stroke in the eye and that this was due to cholesterol plaque in my carotid artery and heart. I went to a Cardiologist and got emergency surgery to clean my Carotid Artery. I was completely occluded and that I was a "time bomb" for a massive stroke and death. Ever since that day 13 yea... read more

Dr. Z has been our family eye surgeon for 16 years. He has done surgery on three of my kids. We have hereditary strabismus that runs in our family. Over the past 16 years Dr. Z has always been kind, caring and professional. He answers all our questions. He is smart and a great surgeon. Those of you who write these bad reviews need to grow up and ask yourself why you had a bad experience. Put yourself in the doctors shoes and be honest with yourself. Remember that doctors are human. They are not machines. It is easy to bully ... read more

Zarzour Joseph A. so called pediatric ophthalmologist is VERY unprofessional and SO rude! We went for a second opinion to another specialist like any other parent would do if a there was a doubt about Zarzour 's visit. We then came back with Zarzour on his required appointment and as honest parents we told him about our second opinion. OMG! He went ballistic! He was very rude, making un appropriate rude comments in front of my child . Also making bad comments about the other Dr. Without knowing the Dr.'s name. That he will m... read more

I have to take back what I said about Dr. Zarzour, I am very disappointed about him and his staff, they lied to me big times. I don't like lairs and I don't understand it, but I will never be his patient again. Supposedly the machine for the cataract surgery is broken at the Cypress Fairbanks Hospital and it takes 6 month to 12 month for the repair. Nobody in his right mind will believe, that a Hospital will wait 6month to one year to have a machine needed for surgery repaired. I don't know why Dr. Zarzour and his Staff thin... read more

He had the worst bedside manner I have ever seen from a "Pediatric" M.D. I took my daughter here because she has a chalazion (clogged oil gland). Four months earlier I had initially taken her to see Dr. Gonzales (whom her pediatrician recommended). The option was on the table to perform a minor surgery to remove the clogged oil, but with that doctor it was going to cost around $1,000 even with our insurance. And it was really a toss up to whether it will come back or go away on it's own. Anyhow, I was pleased with Dr. Gonzal... read more

Doesn't deserve the bad rep on Citysearch – 5 years ago, my son, at 3 months old, scratched my cornea with his razor sharp baby fingernails. I went to my GP, and she sent me directly to Dr. Zarzour. He was fantastic. He relieved my discomfort and patched my eye. I had to see him 2 more times afterwards and he and his staff were always accommodating and friendly. I never had a terribly long wait even when they were busy, and I never had any problems with billing mistakes. I am now taking my 3-year-old son, who has a lazy eye,... read more

Miracle Worker – My son has been in glasses since age 2. After moving to Texas in 2008, his eye sight in his left eye began to worsen. He could only see shadows. We went to Dr. Coats in Houston and were told that there basically was nothing we could do. An eye doctor reccommended Dr. Zarzour, and now my litte guy sees 20/20 with both eyes wearing eye glasses of course. We continually use drops in his good eye to dialate it, so he strengthens the bad one. We will do so until he is around nine (he's 7.5 now). Our visits are in... read more
