Zanzabar is a local institution. Since its opening in 1938 it has changed templates many times, but it has always remained a local watering hole. The sound was too loud...in the harming your hearing range...I checked my dB meter. It was muddy...way too much bass...couldn’t hear the other instruments. When Jack Holiday took the stage, it got louder...actually physically hurting your ears to listen. We, along with the majority of the crowd there to see In Lightning, cleared out. You have a great sound system...find someone who can properly use it...not just blow everybody out with volume.
Super sweet concert hall and really tasty, affordable food
Zanzabar, The Z Bar, is a Louisville Treasure. Amazing concert venue, with national stars, often, yummy food, generous pours, very friendly staff. Terrific joint!
Baddest new music venue (room) in town. Everybody there rules. And them Wettig bros, they just a couple'a good ole boys.
Decent beer selection and great use of space for the new stage.
This place was exactly what I was hoping for! I came to town for the Cindy Wilson show & eveyone was very friendly and welcoming! Thank you for a great time. :)

First time at ZBar and everything was great, from the food, delicious, reasonably priced drinks, nice pour. I don't quite understand anything negative about this venue. If you are whining about not enough pinball machines you evidently need to get your priorities straight. The concert was a blast and if you absolutely need more games look elsewhere....
We seen Reverend Peyton and had a great night...everyone was nice..lots of parking..
