In 1988 Dr. Robert Zann corrected my hip dysplasia by reconstructing the ball of my hip and femur bone placing an L shaped bracket with rods and pins. Two years later he removed the hardward and I went on to a successful athletic lifestyle. Dr. Zann could have easily replaced with the current replacements that were out there; but he was a progressive doctor and wanted to buy me time until hip replacements made better advancements.
