The fire alarm on Zahlco’s new building at 9 E. Mt. Royal goes off for hours every few days, often waking me up well before my alarm. I’ve called Zahlco every time, and it often takes hours for someone to come turn it off. I believe this is the fourth time it’s started without stopping and I’ve had to call and beg their maintenance answering service to beg Zahlco to do something about it. I’ve called 311. It is incredibly hard to contact anyone from Zahlco, and rarely is anyone available during their after hours, as their 24 maintenance service just rings for hours. It took weeks to fix up maintenance issues, and usually these were simple problems that were made worse by poor communication from management. For how unavailable people are for contact and assistance, it wasn’t worth my time to rent with them.
Worst management company. 24 hr maintenance is a sham. Spent 5 hours waiting for someone to let me into my apartment, only for them to break door and threaten to charge me to fix it. Management never answers phone. Totally ignore all feedback. I have not had heat in two weeks and no one has gotten back to me after promising it would be fixed a week ago. Maintenance has no concept of professionalism. Tenants had to ask workers to stop hammering at 12:30 am! Maintenance has no concern for cleanliness following repairs. Truly j... read more
Terrible. Awful management. Unsafe building and no concern for tenants.
I have lived here since April 2017 - July 2019. Moving out for job reasons. In April 2017, I had to move quickly, and they were able to accommodate my quick move with a nice studio. Each indoor space is modern, with the kitchen appliances and wifi included. Management was quick to reply to my questions / concerns, especially Malky Baruch - she is the best Zahlco office manager to speak with.
