Dr. Cheema is arrogant, doesnt take the time to listen to his patients or address concerns. His patients are not treated as Individuals! It's horrible! Patients with the same condition receive the same treatment and meds. It takes six months to get an appt for an established patient and he will spend 7-10 minutes with you. We have since found a great neurologicist that listens , has changed medications and treatment and there has been a drastic improvement. There are better doctors in OKC.
Dr. Cheema has been wonderful since the first day. He is very knowledgeable and makes you feel very comfortable and easy to trust in his decisions. His nurse/assistant Kathy is amazing! She is so friendly and kind. She is very funny and always making you laugh. And then all of a sudden it feels like you guys are good friends, ha ha. She makes you feel like she genuinely cares about you and your well being. I never feel rushed. They always take time to talk to you and ease your mind.
Dr. Cheema is probably well educated but he is unable or unwilling to openly discuss the results of his exam. He is, therefore, of almost no help at all. Choose a different doctor. He was worse than no doctor as he makes it appear that you will receive helpful information, but you never receive his advice.
Though it's hard to get his appointment, dealing with such an unprofessional and rude staff on phone, its worth to see him and his help to make me feel better. But his nurse or medical assistant, Kathy, never receive her phone and response her voice message. I took a timeout to write my experience with his staff defiantly define my experience with him. In sum, recommend the doctor, but it's hard to get appointment and follow up.
Had an appt at 1130 and asked us if we could do 0930. Arrived at 0915 AND WASN'T SEEN UNTIL 1015!!!! During daughters EEG we heard LOUD conversations, phones ringing, doors shutting, ect. Someone told one of the staff (who was the loudest) and she said I don't care, so move me then. I think they should wear earplugs! We have had many EEGs. and are well aware there should be total silence. Tech kept leaving. EEG went over by 25 minutes!
