A little pricey I went to breakfast with some friends after walking along West Cliff Drive one morning. Great food, good service, just a little too pricey for my likes. Otherwise it was great! Family friendly, they put up with my one year old son very nicely!
Good food ~~ I love Zacharys for the good food and good prices! There is a large local following and a lot of newbies! Its just a fun place to be! The portion sizes are enormous!
My favorite brunch food The food here is unique and traditionally satisfying at the same time. The wait in here on the weekend is pretty outrageous, so be prepared to bring something to read!
best brunch place ever everything we've tried has always been great. Mike's Mess is one of our very favorite menu items. This is a VERY popular place, so go early or bring something to read while you wait in line.
Warning: addicting food I was definitely a regular customer here in my college days at UC Santa Cruz. Every now and then, I will go to Santa Cruz just to have a "Mike's Mess." Since it is always crowded (can easily be an 90 minute wait) I now just get take out (15 minutes till you have food in your hands), then go to the beach to enjoy the treat!! The molasses bread is worth the trip alone.

great food – try the mikes mess. its delicious. it can be a little crowded on the weekends but what resturant isnt? i definatly would recommend this for a good cozy breakfast joint.
Zachary's is a busy but friendly diner. But the wait of any amount is worth it. The Sourdough Pancakes are amazing. I have never had pancakes like this anywhere else. I always share the pancakes and an egg breakfast with a friend. Oatmeal Molasses toast is great. Potatoes are great! Coffee is great.
