Don't go to him unless youre wanting to not be heard and him come into the appointment with his mind made up. He super unprofessional and rude the entire apt and shut you down consistently. Also making wrong assumptions on work due to clothing. He was just very flippant and rude. Didn't adress anything necessary. Just shot it down without listening to the patients concerns or needs whatsoever first or getting to know the patient in any way.
I have been with Dr Hommer since 2021. I have never felt so heard or understood by a doctor. He is thorough with my visits, makes sure all of my questions are answered and makes sure I understand everything that was talked about. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would!
My year with Dr Hommer was actively harmful to my mental health. I did not feel listened to or understood. He told me treatment for my mental health would be "a pain" so he took a lazy treatment route. Do not come to him with serious problems.
We are off to a great start and he's making some well needed changes. Seems to understand me well. I'll update in the future.
