Upscale, innovative menu and decor – Happily, we have never beheld the evil/wicked woman described in other reviews...looks like she really brought the ratings down. But, we've been going there as our regular favorite for a long time. The salmon quesadilla is my over-the-top favorite, and over the years we've enjoyed interesting soups like wild mushroom, pumpkin, or squash apple. Their jumbo homemade breadsticks are awesome. And I've never quite figured out what those skinny soda-straw-shaped breadsticks are about, but they'... read more
Avoid like the plague! – Didn't have a chance to even think about the mediocre food because the owner was so nasty and beyond rude to the staff. Stay far, far away if you want an enjoyable dining experience.
WORST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY – Over priced Crapy food Crapy owners Bad experience Waste of time and money
One of the least professional establishments around! – This is one place to stay away from...I worked there for a few brief weeks a couple of years ago and it was the worst place I have ever encountered. The owner Mary is a controlling, narcissistic, rude and obnoxious charlatan who talks about the entire staff behind their backs. She stole Gary (the other owner) away from his wife and kids. She screams and yells and throws tantrums like a 2 year old. After I put 2 scoops of chocolate instead of 1 scoop on a dish of dessert,... read more
Please opt for take-out – I found Z Harvest to be simply adorable and when I inquired about available positions they told me I'd have the job for sure . Looking back I should have assumed something was wrong when they seemed so desperate. The lady-owner treated me quite poorly. I was never good enough and was constantly being complained about behind my back. Even more awful, when I'd ask her if something was wrong she would never give me an explanation as to why she ranted and vented about me to other employees. I never rece... read more
Best Place in Green Bay! – Absolutely my favorite restaurant in GB. This is always where we bring guests and colleagues on a business dinner. I appreciate good food and the food here is great. Daily specials are fabulous. The soups are always a great start, especially lobster bisque. Some of my favorites are the Potato Crusted Salmon and the Shrimp and Scallop Saute. Wonderful decor, changes with the seasons. Not quite a full bar but the Margaritas are tasty! We are always made to feel welcome. The service can be slow at tim... read more
Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED, Owner Mary is someone to avoid – This place is horrible.....Overpriced menu, rude and snobby owners...The owner Mary is a childish, pretentious, thieving woman. The staff hates the owners. Their soups come out of a bag. The owners steal tips from the waitstaff...You will almost never see the same waiter twice as their turnaround rate is so high...Mary is neurotic and prone to temper tantrums, screaming and yelling, slamming her body into walls when she doesnt get what she wants...Definitely avoid ... read more
Great food, a bit pricey. – I have been to Z Harvest Cafe several times during summer 2008. Each time the food has been wonderful, with the exception being the soups are just good, not great. But the sandwiches and entrees are another story. There is no other place in Green Bay that offers such unique and creative food. Everything is made fresh and you definitely can taste the difference. I like the fact the chef goes outside the front of the place to cut fresh herbs for the entrees from his "garden." This place is so not li... read more
So Fresh – I totally disagree with the previous comment. Maybe you should stay in your big cities and stuck up ways. I have never had a bad meal. I find it extremely refreshing in city of restaurant chains. I love that you can actually taste the vegetables and pin point ingredients. A lot of places serve dishes that look pretty, but pretty much have only one taste to them. I love this restaurant and hope more people go there with an open mind and ready to try something fresh and different.
