Hawaiian delight! – Had the BBQ chicken plate lunch, enough chicken to have leftovers for another meal! Chicken was super tender and tasty! I'm gonna go there again to try the rest of the menu!
Ex-Hawaii residents rejoice – As one of the above, I know how happy I was when Ono opened (ono meaning "tasty"). Plate lunches (otherwise known as two scoops rice, one scoop macaroni salad and a meat item) are a Hawaii staple and the need for one on occasion borders on urgent if you've lived in Hawaii. Ono's plate lunches are pretty good for a place so far from Hawaii, and reasonably priced as well. Like the locals say, "ono grinds."
Great! – The food at Ono's is great! If you love Hawaiian BBQ, you will love Ono's, it's quick, cheap, and their Spam musubi is to die for... I haven't found another place in LA that is comparable!
