Update: I moved out of Aspen (thank goodness) but of course Aspen decided to charge me over $600 in fees. Since when does utilities cost each roommate over $300? They are also charging me $100 each for TINY wall damages (partial wall paint removed from command strips). Aspen and SimpleBills rip off college students and try to take every dollar for subpar living conditions. 1st - Dirty nasty apartment especially kitchen area not pleasant at all. 2nd - Food gets eaten by roommate 3rd - You work 12 hrs and you expect to come home and go to bed but , instead you get locked out of the apartment due to your electronic key randomly stops working . Rent office is currently closed. Roomate is no where around . Officers cant do a thing but notify Property Manager. So I lived here the second year they were open, signed my lease during the first year. The first year kids RAN THRU this complex. If I could’ve known it was going to happen like that, I wouldn’t have signed my lease. But they don’t let you back out of it of course. Multiple break ins every night, I’ve had my car broken into and when I addressed it with the management team downstairs they didn’t even care. Service and management need a lot of work. It has been almost a month that I have been trying to get an update or understanding of what is going on with my application. I have been warned about this location however I did see that they are affordable and renovated and thought to see if I would receive better service than others have stated. I decided to give up on the process instead of depending on them until my current lease ends.
The leasing office doesn’t help with much, 90% of the doors and locks are messed up, the printer was stolen, the fire alarm always goes off, the utility system was down for months and they didn’t tell us that they were going to charge us all of our utilities at one time…i could go on
