I recently underwent HoLEP procedure for enlarged prostate by Dr. Yousef Al-Shraideh at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. The surgery went well and I had an uneventful recovery. My symptoms of BPH have pretty much resolved. I wish to thank Dr. Al-Shraideh and his staff for their expertise and professionalism.
I met Dr Al-Shraideh in the hospital. He explained the problems I was having clearly and concisely. He told me my options and his recommendations. He explained the risks of each option and patiently answered my questions. I've seen him for follow-up care since then and have been completely happy with his ability to explain things and offer solutions. Highly recommended!
So, I saw Dr. Al-Shraideh for an elevated PSA because I have prostate cancer. Besides thoroughly reviewing a biopsy and MRI, he went above and beyond the call of duty. While sitting in his waiting room I asked my wife about a small lump in the back of my neck above the hairline and we found an attached tick. When I reported this to Dr. Al-Shraideh, he was kind enough to remove the tick. Just want to report how appreciative I am for his going beyond and above, so to speak!
He literally saved my mother's life. The previous kidney cancer doctor said that the cancer was outside the kidney and the entire kidney had to be removed. Dr. Al shraidah said that the kidney could be saved. He did surgery, saved the entire kidney, got all the cancer, and NO dialysis!
