Always feel confidence in Dr. You. He is not quick to want to operate but uses conservative methods. Would highly recommend.
Dr. You spent a lot of time explaining our options for a fractured ankle and gave his honest recommendation. His assistant was helpful and fun, keeping the mood light despite the situation.
I can sum it up like this: While looking at my MRI analysis results that said "MCL is fine", he told me I had a torn MCL and must buy this $650 brace to wear while walking. I had to sign for the brace before fitting. It was painful, unnecessary, and non-returnable. I wouldn't recommend any doctor at Ortho VA: Dr. You was very over scheduled, regularly interrupted during the brief visits, his assistants didn't seem to have any orthopaedic expertise, and the office seemed to be in chaos
Dr. You's bedside manner makes the you feel rushed and not listened to. First appt was positive and I appreciated the info he gave about my fracture. This was the only positive experience. At one point my foot pain was so bad I called him with questions about how normal my pain was and I NEVER got a return call from him OR the office. He gave conflicting reasons about my fracture and I felt as if he did not know which patient I was and again most important does not LISTEN to patient concerns.
Dr. You has been treating my family members for many years. He is awesome and I depend on his expertise for the different ailments family members have had over the years. He is second to none.
