I was referred to Dr. Mendes by a friend when I was feeling anxious about the possibility of a gum graft. Dr. Mendes is a good periodontist, no doubt about it, but the night before my scheduled big implant removal operation I got an email from Dr. Mendes informing me that she was ill, with a cold, and not feeling optimal to perform my operation on the day it was planned. The day I was supposed to have the operation, (which was now cancelled) I passed by the clinic, (thinking I could speak to Dr. Mendes for a minute) only to find out that Dr. Mendes had been in for a few hours and then left for a conference.
