Wow! This is beyond shady! Who demands someone to give a great review! I would go to the media and give them a live review if this matter isn't handled immediately. All media stations would be like wolves over their email! Andrew Brown email was not the way to go!

This is the parent company of the one my son was planning to purchase from and I was asked to share my recommendation here: My son was going to purchase a shed from Yoders but had to postpone his purchase. He requested a refund a week ago but they have refused to refund. They said they would refund but keep $500 for metal that had been “purchased and cut” already. When we asked to pick up the metal, turns out what we were getting was not even cut. They could have simply used the metal on another project. Buyer beware!! The c... read more

Thank you for your review Catherine. I am sorry about your son’s experience with Yoder’s Sheds (a dealer of ours). I wish we could fix it for him, but we’re a small family owned company and can’t afford to have metal cut for a building that size he was purchasing (16’ wide building). After the metal is ordered, cut, and taken home from the local metal company we purchase from it cannot be returned. If he had cancelled before then we would have gladly given the deposit back. Horrible people skills from the head manager. I highly do not recommend using this company 🤷🏻♂️ I hope this helps a future potential customer choose a better group to go through
I rarely leave reviews, but when I do, it's for a reason. When you threaten someone with refunding their deposit because you want positive reviews? That is just plain pathetic. Asking for a deposit is fine and understandable, and even common practice. Many small, and even large, businesses do it. And most will have it in open print on their contracts, or on the front of their websites (or social media pages.) I will never recommend a business that forces a recommendation from someone.
