This place is not racist! All the people saying this are just friends of that woman who got kicked out because she was extremely rude to the staff. I was present when this all happened. She was approached nicely by an employee and she through a fit. that a grown woman would act this way and then lie and get everyone she knows to say this business is racist. Your establishment joins the ranks of those that employ people with nasty racist biases, and who then practice them on CHILDREN. I've no doubt your PR department will soon be scrambling to do damage control and that the same tired "We do not condone...." responses will follow. Do better. 1) Take responsibility for hiring this person. 2) Fire her. 3) Apologize to the family. 4) Sincerely work on re-building trust with your customers of color.
Here's the thing, I wasn't about to jump on any allegations of racism, just thought that regardless of samples, "stealing" or whatever, the manager showed herself to be extremely unprofessional, unable to handle and de-esculate situations that should be within her purview. Wasn't worth more than a "haha, oh man she sucks" and move on. What made this ridiculous and worth coming on this page to rate the company was the completely out of line rebuttal Yo So Cool - Austin felt was appropriate to publicly post on the video.
Gentrification is bad enough but when it's coupled with racism, abusing CHILDREN, and lying...well folks that's something even a gentrified area of decent people will NOT stand for. Do everyone a favor and close up shop
