RecommendedThe child watch option is essential. It’s the number one reason I joined. I just wish they were open in the afternoon. The limited hours makes it difficult at times. Some areas could use updating, but it’s always very clean and the staff is wonderful.

We were at the health fair at CCBC and wanted some information. The lady that was there had zero Customer service skills. She was extremely curt and condescending. I live in New Brighton and was really looking for a place to join but the way we were treated makes me wonder how I would get treated because I didn't understand how to use machine or asked about programs being offered. They are also very expensive for a supposed non-profit organization.
Passed up a membership because of how poorly the pool is taken care of. Heads up... you should never be able to smell the chemicals. If you can, the pool is filthy.
This is a review specifically of the pickle ball program. Kim is an amazing instructor and runs the Thursday open play very well despite the lack of necessary materials. On average, there are 12-16 people regularly coming to play on 2 courts each Thursday between the hours of 11-2. There are no court lines painted or taped on the floor so time is wasted each Thursday laying out a court WITH STRING. It’s ridiculous. Ehhh... always crowded, something always broken, stuffy, staff just sit on their phones, kids always walk around without supervision swearing. Had issues w ec pool this summer & they just deleted my post & ignoredit...
I love the YMCA in NB. My son and I, look forward to going here 4-5 times a week. The workout room is great, pool and spas top notch, and the people are super friendly. It's a great and healthy experience for my whole family. I plan to be part of the YMCA family for many years. � My YMCA!
