I was diagnosed with cauda equina syndrome on New Year’s Eve 2023. I was extremely scared and nervous about what would happen to me. By the grace of God, Dr. Yashar was the surgeon on call. He came into my room and made me feel taken care of and safe. He made me feel confident in him and explained everything that was going to happen. Outstanding experience. From the moment Dr Yashar walked in I felt comfortable. He assured me right away “we’re in no rush.” He first asked me about my symptoms, listened carefully, and we then looked at MRI images together. I felt that his #1 goal was to help me and explore options rather than being too eager to suggest surgery. Such a refreshing doctor appointment. Thank you.

Was seen by at least 6 surgeons for both severe pain and numbness radiating down my left leg. There was one guy who took the time to figure out what the true cause was. Even though the mri images were indicating a disc bulges in L3 and L4. The limited range of motion on his clinical testing made him suspect that my issue was an L5 issue. On closer note of mri there was a hint of it. After getting nerve conduction testing - he was proved correct. He recommended that I get a second epidural in the correct location this time.
