I was diagnosed with cauda equina syndrome on New Year’s Eve 2023. I was extremely scared and nervous about what would happen to me. By the grace of God, Dr. Yashar was the surgeon on call. Outstanding experience. From the moment Dr Yashar walked in I felt comfortable. He assured me right away “we’re in no rush.” He first asked me about my symptoms, listened carefully, and we then looked at MRI images together. I felt that his #1 goal was to help me and explore options rather than being too eager to suggest surgery. Such a refreshing doctor appointment. Thank you.
Was seen by at least 6 surgeons for both severe pain and numbness radiating down my left leg. There was one guy who took the time to figure out what the true cause was. Even though the mri images were indicating a disc bulges in L3 and L4. The limited range of motion on his clinical testing made him suspect that my issue was an L5 issue.
