About this business

Specialties Having studied under renowned Chinese medicine masters at the Hubei TCM Research Institute and the Hubei University of TCM, as part of a PhD program in China, I have a great deal of clinical experience in both China and the United States. My ongoing research in the acupuncture field covers frontier techniques that are quickly gaining popularity. For example, the "abdominal acupuncture" technique has been received by patients with enthusiasm, due to its relatively pain-free treatment and its effectiveness. For pat... read more

I am a Chinese who has been educated under western medicine, and did not really trust or believe in Chinese medicine. I have never tried acupuncture before, until I was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy during my pregnancy. When I was on my 34-week pregnancy, one night I found I was not able to control my left-side face well. I rushed to the ER next morning and was diagnosed as Bell’s Palsy. After taking a week of steroids prescribed by the ER doctor, my symptoms became even worse. I was not able to fully close my left eye and sea... read more

Dr. Yan is amazing, and just so wonderful! Upon entering her clinic you're greeted by her, and a spirit of peace, and calm. I was blown away by hearing the information provided to me from the in depth research she did based on my constitution. It was as if she had a blueprint from my birth to how my current state of health would turn out to be. And Dr. Yan was on point about everything! Incredible! Apart from submitting my Intake Form, I basically didn't have to say a word to her, other than showing her my tongue for confirm... read more

Who knew what ailed me could be diagnosed by looking at my tongue! Dr. Yan Huo is incredible! From the moment you walk in, a calm comes over you. She is kind, gentle, genuinely compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. I felt relief after my first visit and her approach to treat me from within was more than I could have hoped for. I cannot wait to go back! Thank you Yan!

Dr. Yan Huo îs just amazing. She takes a holistic approach to treating the root of the problem and knows exactly how to approach it through acupuncture, special medicinal teas, essential oils, etc. I felt so much better even after the first treatment. She can tell from one look at the tongue, the pulse, the fingernails etc--what the problem is--before you've even explained it! So glad I found her, and I have already been recommending Yan's Acupuncture Clinic to my friends.
