Business Executive This a first rate practice in every respect I have experienced. I have had none of the problems mentioned by other reviewers. My PCP is Ron Ruden. I have been a patient there since 1997, before the office on E. 65th Street was opened. I see Dr. Ruden, or an associate, or a PA as I consider necessary as appropriate as required for my medical issue at the time. I appreciate this flexible approach. Twenty Years and still caringâ Twenty Years and still caringâ - carynbresnickâ - May 23, 2008 My physical was scheduled for 1 pm. I had to be back in my office by 2:30 and didn't want to cancel. I checked the website, they were running on time. I arrived at 1:05, Dr. Yaffe was waiting for me! This place is very good I really like this place. You have the choice to see a Doctor or PA, the PA is usually a short wait. For instance, if you have a UTI and you must go the same day, a PA will see you right away. They will do the blood work and write prescriptions if necessary or if you have something serious they will make you see a Doctor. I like that because it saves time for everybody. all show and no knowledge The glitz of their showy website should be the first warning that they are more interested in self-promotion than actual medical care. I ended up going here because my regular doctor was out and I was in excruciating pain. Someone suggested them as they are so large and would see me that day. What a waste of time and money. The same care and attention you'd expect at a Jiffy Lube. I've been a patient for years and this practice has become laughable -- just gigantic and impersonal. Good luck seeing a doctor (let alone yours). I routinely get shuttled to physician's assistants who appear to enjoy their jobs as much as DMV workers enjoy theirs.This used to be a good practice. Dr Yaffee !! ?? Dr Yaffee used to be a great doctor when his office was on the upper east side. He even gave patients his home #! Now you are fortunate if he has the time to see you--usually you are placed with a physician's assistant and then asked if you want to see the dr.... When he decided to expand his practice--the quality of care suffered greatly. my last visit Interesting. I also had a strange experience at Yaffe, Ruden. While there for a regular check up, after a very general insight into my current health report, all the doctor wanted to talk about was an endocrine problem I had in my teens that had long been addressed and resolved years ago. Made me do a series of tests and repeat visits that confirmed what I said in the beginning. That that had been resolved years ago. Nothing in my routine check up indicated there was a problem to begin with.
Took my chart and will never go back When I first visited the Yaffe Ruden website, I was impressed that they had an "on time" section, which relayed information for which MD's were running late so that you can check to see what time you need to come for your appointment. However, this "on time" section is more of a theory than a report of the office's timely status. My first two appointments, supposed to be "on time" according to the website, were an hour late. This doctor's office is great- I would not go anywhere else I have been a patient here since 1995. The doctors and staff here are helpful, efficient and polite. I have always been able to get a same day appointment when I was not feeling well (which is VERY important to me). I never have had to wait longer than 20 minutes to be seen. My only complaint is that they ask the pharmacy to call there for refills (as opposed to them calling them in).
