Great place!!!! The staff are super great as well as the food. Well worth the trip over from Statesville.

We got in right away, the music was great, service was terrible, forgot 3 times to bring bread & salad dressing, finally got dressing for my $18 salad that consisted of chopped romaine, a few slivers of parmesan & maybe half a chicken breast!! The bread finally came AFTER our food was finished. It was my birthday & my son had talked to hostess & band ( I found out after we left) never happened & as we went out door hostess said " Oh, happy birthday!! We won't be back!!
Food was tasty but pricey. Service was very slow though. Waitress was friendly.
Second time we have been here. The first was really busy and the servers were rushed off their feet. Even so, they found us a table and it did not take long to get served really good food! This time we went on a quiet day and had as much fun as the first time. The greeter engaged in conversation and brought a bowl of water for our dog. Food was excellent - great (fresh) coffee too. They also have live music, so we will be back. Highly recommended.

Jill and her staff hosted a surprise 50th Birthday party for me and we could not have been happier. The restaurant was ours from 2-5 on a Saturday afternoon. The food was plentiful and delicious. The service was 5 star. We could not believe how wonderful the event turned out. Do yourself a favor and have lunch or dinner with Jill, Adam, Tony and the staff!! Thanks to all who made my special day so awesome! Oh and a shout out to Jill and her band 'Hot Flash' who performed for us. They were so fun!
Absolutely gorgeous day to visit YBE. Adam was our waiter and treated us very well. The food was exceptional, as we have always experienced it. Arugula Salad with shrimp and fried oysters added, Caprese Salad with Crab Cake, and Crab Cake sandwich with planks. Everything was hot and fresh. A wonderful 20th birthday lunch for our son.
Was not impressed with the food. My wife didnt even eat her salad. She took 2 bites. My broiled shrimp and wings were cold.
We frequent all the restaurants in Southport and this is definitely the one that we will NEVER go back to. The hostess (short blonde hair) was beyond rude the last two times we attempted to have dinner there. Tonight, she told us they could not accommodate our large party, we suggested to split up and she simply stated "nope". Clearly they take business for granted, and do not think twice to turn customers way....so my advice is "stay away"!!!!!! The Frying Pan and Fishy Fishy are always friendly and welcoming:)
