a city itself uc merced , everyone very helpful, move in day for my son yesterday well organized.. only that next move in day have staff at the parking lot or at light so that we parents don't go around twice.. keep my kid safe. .
I fixed up our family's mointain cabin in kern county thinking my son would need to go there to study in silence and tranquility as I frequently did in grad school. When I took him for his orientation I saw that the campus is walking distance from Lake Yosemite and many orchards, which would be very relaxing for me personally to take a walk by. I can see the campus is growing but I am glad that my son is starting when it's in its growth phase. I'm almost jealous! I will let my son rate the academics, but I am very optimistic... read more

It’s a a really nice school, with really nice staff and very happy and friendly students.
It is very hard to leave your child in a place you have no idea what to expect! Right from the start the UC staff was extremely helpful. As a parent I did not know my place, But they reassured me on what to do and me feel welcomed. From start to finish my experience was amazing. I'm happy with my child attending this University.
After visiting so many UC campuses, we realized UC Merced was the best fit for our son. He’s just starting his freshman year and are so excited to track his progress and growth.
