I wish more people that lived locally (Merced County) realized the positive impact this UC is having on our residents, business, and most importantly our youth. 20 years ago I would have never believe that we could actually have a UC in our backyard. Nor would I have ever believed I would ever have had the opportunity to attend it?? I am one of the lucky ones to attend, now just hoping to secure employment within our local UC System.
The faculty is amazing! They are very knowledgeable, helpful, and most importantly care about the success of students. The staff are friendly and have your back. The student body is supportive but they can also be rude and superficial. But you have to find those people who will have your back and you should be alright. Apart from that, this university is great and will prep you for your career and help make whatever dreams you have a reality.
