I was totally impressed by the "green" technology being integrated with the campus infrastructure and day to day operations. The campus was beautiful and appears to have an aggressive growth plan while maintaining its philosophy. Looking forward to see it's development by the time it is my son's turn to make his choice for an university to attend for his education.
The school has so much to offer. Beautiful campus. My husband and I give it a thumbs up hopefully our daughter decides to go to school at UC Merced.
Yesterday my husband, daughter and I visited UC Merced campus for a tour. It was a great experience . When i was there i felt confident and comfortable with the area and student body. To see my daughter's face and see anxiety dissipate from it, halfway through the tour, brought peace to me. UC Merced offers many opportunities to encourage teenagers, like my daughter, see passed their anxiety and uncertainty of being away from home. perhaps, it was the biggest factor affecting her decision. Awesome University. It is expanding and it has their own business into City for students and staff.
I am glad that we went to visit the campus. Initially, I was not sure if a school in the middle of a farming community would be a good fit for my city-raised daughter. After visiting another nearby UC, we both agree that Merced had more to offer, in terms of academic programs, friendly students, cleanliness of the facility and safety.
