My only disappointment is they only take cash. So bring cash, or pay to use the cash machine in front....... great vibes, good food, fun atmosphere. And usually AWESOME cars to view in the parking lot!!!
From Texas and of course looked up good places to eat that are kid friendly. This place popped up first and was highly rated. Went in ordered burgers and fries with shakes and the only thing good was the shake. My food was made wrong 3 times. Chili was way overpriced for what you get. A small bowl of chili was the same price as a hamburger. There's something terribly wrong with that price structure. The chili was over $10 and the "bowel" wasn't much larger than a cup.
My only complaint is that the prices are a bit high. But their $3.50 root beer is in a big mug, ice cold, and better than any other root beer I've had recently, so it's worth it. Fun place with all kinds of 50s 60s memorabilia on the walls and cielings, and a cd jukebox that plays our old favorites.
They close "whenever" not 9pm. We showed in 50 minutes before 9 and they had the doors locked up and we're stacking chairs.
Hermalla,,,,still there? I remember the good old days when we saw the Palm Trees in the distance when you worked at Rocket Research and I at NC Machinery and we'd talk about running away! Remember?
Great place to enjoy old memorabilia on there walls, 50's diner food, locally family owned, great service and awesome car shows! They have a mascot that you can sometimes catch walking around in Costume to greet you. Kids really enjoyed this place- sitting outside is very peaceful if you prefer peace. The inside places oldies but goodies.. so sad to see the other reviews that are negative. Most of our friends have been going to this spot since they were kids. I've been going w family since I'd lived here- 7 years ago. Defini... read more
