About this business

This low-key Rick Bayless eatery is inspired by Mexican street taco stands. Bayless serves up creative tortas, sandwiches, and a number of caldos (soups), sure to warm anyone up on a cold winter day. The pozole is a healthier take on the traditional dish. The pozole is made with chicken instead of pork, and though it is usually served on weekends at most Mexican eateries, here it's served here daily. yummy quick meal I went at 5pm on a Satuday. There was a 30min wait to sit, but I was happy to take-out, so it was really quick. I had the Pibil torta and a cup of the "authentic" hot chocolate. The sandwich was really tasty - a little spicy, very flavorful. And the chocolate was awesome. But $12 for a sandwich *is* a bit much (some are only $8). A good occasional treat.

Best Mexican! Xoxo is my favorite mexican restaurant!! The tortas are amazing and well worth the wait! The restaurant is tiny so you may have to stand in line for a few hours to get in, but if you go around 8:00 there usually isn't a line. Or you can always get take out!

Great chips and guac. The Crispy Churro chicken sandwich was a big fail. The churro has too much sugar and was too soggy. The service was lousy.

The food was delicious! We had chips and salsa, chicken tortilla soup, watermelon margarita, short rib tacos and chicken tinga tacos. Everything was fabulous! Thanks for a great meal!

We drive 45 minutes to come to downtown to eat at Xoco! The best sandwiches and churros! Don’t forget the chocolate sauce! Thank you for staying open during quarantine and feeding us!
