Why does Platteville Colorado keep having constant power outages!!! This is out of line. It's off so much I know the account # by heart, and it's not even my account, it's my landlord's - that's how often I have to enter it into the "check your outage status" . I've lived here four years and I swear it goes off at least 8 times per year. If not more, and today (the hottest day of the year 103°) at the hottest part of the day 4:00 not supposed to come back on till 7:15 pm REALLY you guys are killin' me -FIX IT ALREADY!!!

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Where I live there are no other options for power so Xcel monopolizes this part of the state. In the 3 years I've lived here we've had more power outages than I can count, including more than 83 power "flickers" in one day that killed our refrigerator (no Xcel didn't want to cover the cost of the fridge). A death occurred in the family and they threatened to immediately turn off the electricity. The bill is only one week overdue. I said the estate will pay Xcel as soon as it is legally set up to do so. Didn't matter to customer service, the electricity will be turned off was repeated. Nasty people when you are in mourning.
