The generation of boots that I bought did not perform as well as I thought they should. They are made in a different factory in China now. So they may be better. They wear great. My dad had a pair that were really tough. So I don't know what the difference was. I may have several different production types. Trying to be fair. I liked the line of boot so well I purchased extra pairs for future use. In fairness I had a pair of Dan post boots fall apart too. Good and bad I reckon. But those nails were never right. LOVE my boots on my second pair but I miss the selection of round toe I cant stand square toe
I bought the ones with a composite toe at my local western wear shop today and I have NEVER worn a more comfortable work boot...

Just bought a pair today, loved them as soon as I tried them on! Very comfy! They remind me of the shoes back in the good ole days we called cowboy tennis.
Love'em! I've worn boots all my life and these fit the best right out of the box. These work boots can do it all in my book!

Boots are comfortable but the leather has a funny smell
Bought a pair of boots. Brand new, never worn. Boots ended up being different sizes between the right and the left. Emailed pictures of new boots and was told that they had been worn and that they client help me. Will never purchase a pair of twisted x boots again. Horrible customer service.
