The Inn is currently going through renovations. The bed is firm, but suportive and the pillows don't go flat. The rooms need a makeover to bring them into this century. The AC/heater works well. The complementary breakfast is tasty. The service staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is great and quiet.
This place could be such an amazing, wonderful place but it needs a lot of love. Apparently historical society is holding up repairs, which is a tough one. I'd love to see this place revived and flourishing. It hearkens back to the day when the room number didn't designate what floor you were on. It's a quaint hotel with a lot of history, and the beach and pier are a very easy walk. Main Street is pretty easy to walk to as well, you really don't even require a vehicle while staying here.

The good: front desk service was nice and friendly, there's a complimentary breakfast, the beds were clean, it's dog-friendly, and the outside areas of the inn are pretty. The bad: Possibly the worst hotel room I've experienced. The chairs in the room were old and ripped/looked dirty and the room had a strong smell when we first walked in.
