HORRIBLE!!!!!- sorry for the misunderstanding I am sorry for any confusion to my earlier post- I thought that Woody's was a chain- Don't go to the one in Columbus, It's terrible- as for Tupelo, I have never been. I recently moved to California, but when I come back to MS I will be sure to try Woody's of Tupelo!
Woodys Woody's offers a fine dining experience. There is a dress code that apply for the main lobby. They offer unusual meals like buffalo and aligator. The prices are very expensive but if you want to eat well this is where to go.
This was such a treat! DIdn't expect to find this! BEAUTIFUL restaurant, candles, and not too stuffy! Had Organic Filet Mignon AND Buffalo!! Both were fantastic. Bananas Foster for dessert was really special. Service was impeccable, ambiance was SOOO relaxing (I want their decorator), just an incredible evening. Will be returning very often, think I need to try the Halibut next time. PROS: Incredible food, great service, and fantastic decor CONS: Might want to call ahead or make reservation

One of the best meals ever! – Our hotel recommended this local steakhouse, and we're really glad they did! The hostess was charming, (turns out she's the owner) and got us a great corner table in the main dining room, which looked like a "Cattleman's Club", complete with longhorns over the door, and an old flint rifle mounted over the fireplace. Best filet in town! – Great ambiance. Oysters on the 1/2 shell. Great filets. Wild game. Tasty halibut and lamb. For an appetizer, try the "blackened bits". Wine list could be expanded a bit.
Not for the faint of wallet – Had a good meal but this place is very expensive, and the service was lacking in follow up. Drinks were somewhat pricey too. The Dj was a little to Urbane for my taste. But if thats what you like it's ok. Very crowded in the bar and had to wait about 10 minutes for the first drink. Someone started a fight and we watched them being dispatched by security the size of trucks. We were told that this happens somewhat regularly by another customer. We finished the evening in our hotel.
