Woodyards is in Kansas, just over the border and if you can't make it out here, they also provide catering services.

Best Chili I have ever had in my life, awesome! !!!
Very good food, I had burnt ends w coleslaw sandwich. The atmosphere was fun. Roadside BBQ shack. Not a lot of indoor seating but has outdoor seating when the weather is right.
Woodyard is the closest thing you find in KC to a southern BBQ roadside shack. Oh, by the way, the BBQ is great. I had a baby back rib and a burnt end sandwich. The ribs was meaty, tender and flavorful without the sauce. The burnt ends were tender, flavorful and not too fatty. I put them on par with Joe's KC burnt ends and just behind Q39's. Sunny and warm so we sat outside. Carolina pulled pork for me and Chili for my friend. Both were Fantastic. Would highly recommend the food.
The bbq is always good when we eat there! My wife loves the Carolina and the Triple P sandwich is incredible. We love to take out of town friends here!
The burnt ends weren't tender at all but had a good flavor and the ribs were delicious. I would have given 5 stars if the burnt ends weren't so damn tough. I'll try em again though, maybe it was just that batch.
Best BBQ I've had in the area, so glad we went a bit out of our way to stop here and have lunch! The Burnt Ends Chili.. omg.. so good! The pit master even gave us a sample of his wings fresh off out of the smoker.. mouthwatering! You need to go here.

My husband and I ate here Saturday afternoon and we were not that impressed. I got the two meat platter with briscuit and ham. My husband got ribs. My meat was lukewarm and cold in places. The briscuit was tough. I really liked the flavor of the ham and the dogs liked my briscuit. I like my coleslaw. My husband's ribs he liked just ok. His potato salad was tasteless. Are we going back? No. Just too many good choices in the KC area.
This place was mouth watering good!! Can't wait to go back!!
