Located just outside Aspen, Colorado, Woody Creek Distillers is the first and only craft distillery in the United States to control every element of our vodka production. We grow our potatoes at Scanlan Family Farm, truck them eight miles to our distillery and source local mountain spring water. Visited the distillery yesterday. Love this vodka. Melissa our bartender was a wealth of information regarding all the Woody Creek products. I had called earlier in the day and made a reservation for a tour. Upon our arrival we were informed the gentleman who gives the tours had left. Melissa invited us to the bar in a beautiful space, arranged a tour with Blaine a distiller and poured some tastings while we waited for him. Visiting my daughter and her family who live in Carbondale. We are from California and often visit wineries there. My son-in-law suggested we have a drink or two at Woody Creek and I am very glad we did. We went back again two days later and I bought some vodka for myself and a friend back home. The ambience, servers at the bar and, the architecture are all super. I especially like the glass wall exposing the distillation towers which are quite a sight to behold.
Owner did not show up for a private tour that was scheduled a month ago and confirmed a week ago. So unprofessional and discourteous. Do not waste your time or money on this place. 16 very unhappy Texans.
