We stopped at Public House for lunch on a Christmas shopping trip to Woodstock and Crystal Lake, Il. I had Porcini Mushroom soup. It was wonderful! It wasn't a creamy typical mushroom soup. It was a beef broth with tender pieces of beef, spices, green onions and Porcini mushrooms. My sandwich was chicken salad on a buttery croissant. Loved it! We were with a group of 22 people and the restaurant handled it efficiently. Our group plus almost all the other tables were full so the kitchen and servers were working like a well oi... read more
