nice This is the vet to go to, I am beyond words how well putting my pet down was handled. They are wonderful, compassionate, and didn't judge me for being grief-ridden. This is the only Doctor, I would ever trust pets with. A+
Simon, John M, DVM I concure with the last reviewer. Dr. Simon is extremely knowledge not only treating pet disease but preventing it through his holistic pet care services. I have not met another Vet in the area (or anywhere else for that matter) that has such broad experience in both conventional and holistic / alternative veterinary medicine. Strongly recommend.

Snake oil salesman, AVOID Very expensive, minimal care. He failed to read a test on the first dog I took to him that would have let me know his death was imminent. He ASSURED me this would never happen again, so, stupidly, I took another dog to him, after all, he was supposed to be the best.
get your wallet out for nothing This guy is a money grubbing quack - he circles how much he owes you. Takes the money to the bank!!!! My dog went in for a check up in March - Blood work $$$$$ the whole nine yards. Took him back in May - This "Doc" gave him eye drops - took him to Gasow - sent to specialist - he has CANCER.
Not Holistic Today was my first visit to Woodside. I drove from Northville, to Woodside in Royal Oak, because I thought I was seeing a holistic vet. Dr. Simon is a Vet that administers supplements that are natural, but he does not practice Kinesology, Muscle Testing, or Homeopathy.He holds no degrees for alternative health care. He read my dog's file for the first time during the visit as I was being charged $98.00 for a 1/2 hour. His first concern was if my dog's shots were up to date. Great Vet I have been taking my dog Kramer to Dr. Simon for arthritis and his treatments have made a huge difference and eliminated his lameness. Because he provides both holistic and conventional care he accomplished what my other veterinarians were unable to. I found Dr. Simon to be very caring and highly professional and his staff is very nice and friendly. Holistic Vet - Not This is supposed to be a holistic veterinarian, but Dr. Simon doesn't meet the mark. He agrees with raw feeding, but still pushes supplements and immunizations. Very expensive - he charges for you to talk to him, otherwise you just deal with the nurses, who are very nice. Inconvenient parking and very small rooms especially if you have a bigger dog. Do not recommend.
