The Woods Coffee was established in 2002 by the Herman family of Lynden, Washington. With a dream of starting a chain of coffee shops, the Herman family pooled their talents and resources to create the first coffee shop on Bender Rd. in Lynden. After six months, they opened their second coffee shop, also in Lynden. Since then, they have continued on a steady growth pattern throughout Whatcom County. Spot on! excellent service for this first time customer! smooth bold flavor with little to no hint of tannic acid. Great environment to stop and read, may make this my future haunt when I want to get out and still sketch.
A great local alternative to that other coffee place that does not need mentioning. Get the roasted marshmallow latte. Awesome!
AHhhh... the Flat White, a decadent creation by Italians living in Australia turning lattes into smaller, creamy incredibly sensual, flavorful coffee drinks, strong on coffee flavor, silk on the lips. I love Woods, and the Woods near Birch Bay is my home away from home. The people at Woods in Birch Bay Square put customers first. They always have smiles and go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued! A group of us (3-9 people) meet every Sunday to enjoy coffee and pastries in the warm atmosphere at Woods. They are the best!
Friendly staff, great atmosphere! Good place to stop before a client meeting.
