Woodland Windows and Doors was founded in 1969 by John and Ann Mariotti at the corner of Lake Street and Gary Avenue in Roselle. They called it the Woodland Lumber Company specializing in millwork, doors and selling firewood and railroad ties to make ends meet. In the 1990's, the Mariotti's expanded Woodland's product offerings to include many of the top rated brands of windows and doors. Horrible experience. Had a new Marvin patio door installed and paid wat to much. The screen door isn't even in the track. When you lock the door you have to push it from the back into the jam to get it to lock. The service person at Woodland actually told me that this is "normal", really? I called Marvin to check this out and they said door isn't installed correctly. Should have stopped payment on them. Christian company? Not by their response or actions. Very dissapointed.
OVERPRICED GARBAGE. Took 6 weeks to repair a peeling door frame. Ralph made it sound like we were idiots. "Doesn't appear to be as bad as photos indicate." Paint peeled, chipped from door frame, not caulked properly, less than 1 year old. No one really cared about the problem. "Oh, she's not available right now." "Oh, I'll make sure this gets taken care of." "Oh, you have to talk to so and so to schedule. She'll call you soon." NEVER WILL EVER USE THEM AGAIN.
This is our 2nd experience with Woodland, our first being on our former home years ago. This experience was a positive one again. Ed (the job foreman) and Daryll on day one and joined by John and Simon on day 2. They did a very good job on the removal of the old and installation of the new (2 windows and a patio door). And did their best to keep the inevitable dust and dirt from getting all over the house. This is our 2nd experience with Woodland Windows, and everything went very well. I highly recommend them. All of our interactions with the team have been very professional, and the installers were also very courteous and professional on site. We will be calling Woodland again when we decide to replace our living room and office windows.
Everything from the initial meeting/quote from the salesperson to installation went really well. We had a minor imperfection that occurred during installation and they were quick to send someone over to fix the issue. We were very happy with the entire process and costs of the windows and will be using them again for additional windows on our house.
I replaced all of my windows with Woodland and couldn't be happier. Right from the start they told me what to expect and the process was exactly as described. I had an issue with a screen after installation and there was no hassle to replace it. Worth the price.
The sales process was pretty smooth, no high pressure like those other companies (you know who i'm talking about!!). There were a few fits and starts with scheduling and communication but our new windows are now installed and I love them, especially our awning window in the kitchen! Don't be fooled by the high ratings here, a lot of the 5 star ratings are from family members. I am still waiting for a call back from someone. I was told by the "service tech" who was at my home yesterday that only an owner can do anything. I got a voicemail right at 5 yesterday, but when you call back it goes straight to voicemail. Once they get your money, they no longer care.
Walked in to an empty store to purchase a picture window and a couple double hung. Three couples walked in behind us and were helped before us. We were supposedly waiting for a sales associate but she never approached us. So after about 20 minutes of sitting there we decided to buy our Windows elsewhere and leave.
